Blanchards Bailey proud sponsors of Dorset Food & Arts Festival 2017
Blanchards Bailey is proud to continue its support of local events with sponsorship of the Dorset Food & Arts Festival 2017 this Saturday (5 August).
The festival, originally held in 2012 to champion the best of Dorset, promises to showcase a bumper crop of produce and culinary talent this year.
The sixth annual free festival, held as always on the Saturday closest to the late Queen Mother’s birthday, will have more than 50 local food and drink stalls.
This will include the regular Poundbury Dorset Farmers’ Market stallholders, music by local singers and groups throughout the day and demonstrations by food experts and chefs. Celebrity TV chef Lesley Waters, a new patron of the event, will open the chef’s kitchen.
For the first time this year the festival will have a major visual arts focus with paintings, ceramics and photography on show and a demonstration by one of Dorset’s best known potters.
Sarah Heath, Principal and Head of Commercial Services at Blanchards Bailey, said: “We are proud to support the Dorset Food & Arts Festival. As a firm, we are committed to investing in community activities that celebrate Dorset and shine a light on the unique events and produce on our doorstep.”
The event will be held in Queen Mother Square, Poundbury, from 9am to 5pm. It supports four local charities, Weldmar Hospicecare, Fortuneswell Cancer Trust, The Dorchester Opportunity Group and the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution.
