We are a medium sized law practice with offices in Blandford Forum, Dorchester, Shaftesbury, Stalbridge and Weymouth.
We believe in being completely transparent about what we charge. We try to keep fees competitive with those of other law practices without compromising the quality of the work we do. Legal aid is available in certain family law matters and in many cases we give initial free advice.
We place great emphasis on giving a truly personal service to our clients, we value our staff (we are an accredited Investor in People) and we believe in serving the local community.
We deal with all mainstream areas of law with particular expertise in wills, trusts, probate and tax and financial planning for individuals and residential sales and purchases. We also have a growing business department and especial strength in commercial property matters.
Our present practice was formed by the merger in January 2009 of the two largest law practices in Blandford, Blanchards whose origins go back to 1924 and Bailey & Co which was founded in 1962. We were joined at the end of 2010 by John Foster-Pegg, a sole practitioner in Stalbridge.
Currently there are five principals who are backed up by other solicitors, legal executives and other legal support and administration staff.
